Manchester United's mouth-watering Champions League clash with PSG WILL go ahead next Tuesday despite the French capital being in a state of emergency and 9pm curfews in place

Manchester United's opening Champions League group game against Paris Saint-Germain is set to go ahead on Tuesday despite a strict curfew in the French capital.

President Emmanuel Macron has named Paris among nine cities where people must stay indoors between 9pm and 6am for four weeks from Saturday as he declared a state of emergency in an attempt to contain the coronavirus.

However, United’s clash with PSG can still go ahead behind closed doors at Parc des Princes because no supporters will be at the game.
