Manchester United 'to push ahead with £80m pursuit of Jack Grealish' as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'turns blind eye to Aston Villa captain breaking Covid-19 lockdown rules'

Manchester United are ready to step up their pursuit of Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the beginning of the season and could set the Red Devils back £80million should they want him this summer.

Grealish put the move in doubt at the end of March after flouting government lockdown rules to attend a late-night party at the flat of former team-mate Ross McCormack, before he crashed his Range Rover shortly after.

Jack Grealish apologised for partying in a video posted to his social media accounts
Grealish has been heavily fined by Aston Villa for the incident
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still keen on signing Grealish for Manchester United this summer

Grealish was fined £150,000 for his actions and was forced to make a grovelling apology – just hours after he failed to heed his own advice about staying indoors before he apologised for his 'stupidity'.
