Aidy Boothroyd will meet Jose Mourinho for critical talks to explain why England want to take Marcus Rashford to Euro 2017.
The Manchester United manager is against the idea of Rashford playing for the Under-21s in Poland and voiced his misgivings on the subject as far back as last October.
Mourinho feels the 19-year-old is now a senior England player, given he played against Lithuania last Sunday and has not represented the Under-21s since gaining his one and only cap against Norway last September.

But the Football Association are eager for Rashford to get more tournament experience and Boothroyd is planning to include the striker in his final 23 for the tournament, which begins on June 16.
