Michael Carrick might now be the old head on experienced shoulders at the heart of Manchester United's midfield, but once upon a time he was just a kid in the park - and now there is footage to prove it.
Ahead of Carrick's testimonial match at Old Trafford this weekend, his club have dug out film from the children's TV show Live & Kicking, from the early 1990s.
In it, the former West Ham and Tottenham playmaker is interviewed at home and filmed in action for his local boy's team - the famous Wallsend Boys Club.

A fresh-faced Carrick is introduced by presenter Andy Peters as 'one of this country's future footballing stars' - a fine prediction - and in his chat with the camera it's clear to see he settled into his style of play from a very young age.
