Mother's day is just around the corner and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has wasted no time in thanking his own mum for her love and support throughout his career.
Mkhitaryan's father, Hamlet, died from a brain tumour in 1996 at the age of just 33 - leaving his wife, Marina Taschian, to raise Henrikh and his sister Monica alone back in their native Armenia.
Despite the tragedy of his father's death, Mkhitaryan was able to follow in his footsteps and became a professional footballer under the guidance of his mum, who currently works for the Armenian Football Federation.
