Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost with long-term target Ivan Rakitic free to leave Barcelona for just £17.6million this summer, according to Spanish outlet Marca.
The midfielder's contract runs out in 2021 and he is unlikely to be offered a new deal with his influence at Camp Nou declining in recent seasons.
The 32-year-old is expected to leave at the end of the season, despite the uncertainty of the next transfer window caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Rakitic is thought to have admirers in Spain and France as well as England with the Red Devils supposedly making contact with the midfielder in January before signing Bruno Fernandes.
