Manchester United game will bring an extra '20 per cent' to our budget, claims Burton boss Nigel Clough while Premier League managers continue to undermine the competition

Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough has claimed their Carabao Cup tie at Manchester United will increase their season budget by '20 per cent'.

Clough, son of the legendary Brian Clough, who lead Nottingham Forest to four League Cups and two European Cups amongst other honours, will take his Burton side to Old Trafford on Wednesday night with the guarantee that his club's financial power will be significantly strengthened.

According to EFL.com, under the regulations of the competition, Burton will receive 45 per cent of gate receipts received at the 75,000 capacity stadium for the tie - plus the prize money already stacked up from previous rounds.
