Manchester United FC transfer news: Cristiano Ronaldo ‘wants to go back’, believes ex-Real Madrid manager

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo would like a return to Manchester United, believes ex-England manager Fabio Capello.

The Portugal forward, 33, sparked speculation surround his future after winning a third consecutive Champions League with Los Blancos.

First, Ronaldo insisted he would clarify his plans, before telling supporters at their trophy parade he would see them ‘next year’.

But, just days after Zinedine Zidane announced his resignation at the Bernabeu, former Real Madrid boss Capello gave his thoughts on the situation.

He told Sky Sport Italia: “I think that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to go back to Manchester, to play for United and being coached by his compatriot Mourinho.
