Manchester United 'eye a summer swoop for Croatia No 1 goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic - with Red Devils looking to trigger Dinamo Zagreb shot-stopper's £8.9m buyout clause' as a rival for David de Gea

Manchester United reportedly want to sign goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic - with the Red Devils looking to trigger the shot-stopper's £8.9million buyout clause.

The 28-year-old starred for Croatia at the World Cup, helping his nation see off Brazil in a penalty shoot-out before they were knocked out in the semi-final by eventual winners Argentina.

The Dinamo Zagreb star is entering the final year of his contract this summer and United view his release clause as 'no obstacle'.

The Croatian club's reluctance to pay the shot-stopper an annual salary of €1.2million could also influence a move to Old Trafford, according to Sportske Jutarnji.
