Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka fined and handed six points on driving licence for speeding on the M1 during the second week of the coronavirus lockdown in April

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been fined £600 and given six points on his driving licence after he was caught speeding at 104mph on the M1 in the second week of lockdown.

The Manchester United defender was travelling into London on April 1 when he was stopped in his £90,000 G-wagon on the motorway which is a 70mph zone.

Wan-Bissaka was given the punishment at a magistrates court in Bromley, with the right-back asked to pay additional costs and fees of £160.

PC Geoffrey Green, who confirmed that there were passengers in the car with Wan-Bissaka, said in a statement: 'The vehicle was travelling away from me at a speed I estimated to be in excess of (70mph).
