Manchester United could re-sign David de Gea after his contract expires TONIGHT - after delaying talks ahead of the No 1's wedding this weekend

Manchester United are planning to hold face-to-face talks with David de Gea over his future even though the Spanish goalkeeper’s contract at Old Trafford runs out at midnight.

De Gea, who is marrying his long-term partner Edurne Garcia this weekend, will become a free agent after 12 years at United.

However, the club are keeping their options open and have not ruled out the possibility of re-signing De Gea on lower terms than his previous £375,000-a-week deal despite already withdrawing one contract offer.

United will sit down with De Gea to discuss the options but have been mindful not to interfere with the wedding plans and private time with his family.
