Manchester United confirm signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on loan from Newcastle - which includes a £5m option to buy - with the Slovakia international set to challenge David de Gea and Tom Heaton

Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has joined Manchester United on a season-long loan from Newcastle United,

The 33-year-old Slovakia international travelled to Manchester on Tuesday for his medical after Newcastle relented on demanding a £6m fee now, but an obligation to pay will kick in after Dubravka hits a set amount of appearances.

The Slovakia international has played over 125 games in the Premier League in the past five seasons, and he has 29 caps for his country.
