Manchester United are closing in on Benfica centre-half Victor Lindelof – with interest in Michael Keane cooling.
Jose Mourinho came close to adding the Swedish 22-year-old to the ranks in January and club officials vowed to return in the summer when that move did not materialise.
The defender is expected to cost around £35m.
Lindelof is currently on international duty with Sweden and his move to Manchester may well be completed next week.
Keane, who came through the ranks at Old Trafford, is set for a move away from Turf Moor after a sterling season.
