Wayne Rooney may have been on the losing side for Manchester United on Thursday night, but the club captain was clearly in a jovial mood as he helped them to what will be his fourth League Cup final.
The Red Devils needed their two-goal lead from the first leg to see off Hull City at the KC Stadium with goals from Tom Huddlestone and Oumar Niasse providing a nervous night for Jose Mourinho and the travelling supporters.
And it was those same supporters who were later thanked by Rooney for their 'unbelievable' encouragement throughout the 90 minutes, but the England veteran was found wanting in the grammar department and Twitter trolls quickly jumped on a simple mistake.
