Manchester United are interested in signing Bayern Munich's Marcel Sabitzer and have been offered Atletico's Yannick Carrasco but Erik ten Hag faces a race against time to bring in cover for the injured Christian Eriksen

Manchester United are keen on making a deadline day move for Bayern Munich's out of favour midfielder Marcel Sabitzer - but face a race against time to seal the deal.

The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their midfield after losing Christian Eriksen to injury for the next three months and Austrian international Sabitzer has emerged as a target as the 28-year-old searches for more game time.

Sabitzer has found himself frozen out at the Allianz Arena this season and has not started a game since before the World Cup in early November - during their 2-0 Champions League win against Inter Milan.
