Manchester United appoint former Everton executive David Harrison as the club's new director of football operations to oversee the men's, women's and academy teams

Manchester United have appointed David Harrison as director of football operations, the club have announced.

Harrison will lead all operational aspects of United’s football activities and report directly to football director John Murtough.

Harrison, who is moving from Everton where he has a similar role, will oversee operations of the men’s, women’s and academy teams including football administration, team travel and player support.

Harrison started his career at Old Trafford before moving to Everton in 1995. He said: ‘I’m excited to be taking this role at time of such opportunity and promise for Manchester United.
