Manchester United 1-1 PSG: Substitute Melvine Malard grabs leveller for the Women's Champions League debutants to leave the qualifier in the balance against their French rivals

Manchester United came from behind to keep their Champions League dream alive in an entertaining clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

Melvine Malard, on-loan from PSG’s rivals Lyon, scored her second goal in two games to cancel out Tabitha Chawinga’s opener.

The winners of this tie will progress to a 16-team group stage and United are bidding to be only the second English team to qualify. Arsenal were knocked out in the first round while Women’s Super League champions Chelsea were given an automatic place.

United, who were making their debut in the competition, were placed in the second round of qualifying after finishing as runners up in the WSL.
