Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will be on touchline for Manchester United clash after being cleared by FA for confrontation of Nathan Redmond

Pep Guardiola was on Monday cleared to be on the touchline for the Manchester derby after the FA took minimal action over his extraordinary confrontation with Southampton winger Nathan Redmond.

Guardiola had been asked for his observations after accosting Redmond at the end of City's dramatic 2-1 win over Saints on Wednesday night.

Guardiola, who grabbed the player around the neck and appeared to push him in the chest, later admitted that he 'couldn't control himself'.

He could potentially have faced a touchline ban if the FA decided to take the matter further.
