Man United legend Andy Cole opens up on his health battle since having a kidney transplant in 2017... as the ex-striker reveals that he has accepted that he is 'NEVER going to be better'

Andy Cole has opened up on his health battle since undergoing a kidney transplant seven years ago.

The Manchester United legend underwent the transplant with a kidney from his nephew in April 2017.

Cole, who was part of the Treble winning-team of 1998-99, had previously suffered kidney failure after contracting an airborne virus back in 2015.

Discussing his illness on The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, Cole revealed that he is better dealing with his struggles post-transplant, only because he knows he will never fully improve.

He said: 'I'm not going to lie, it's been tough.
