Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole has been quick to sing the praises of Karim Benzema, and called for his old side to make a move for the ex-France star should such a deal become possible.
Benzema has been linked with an exit from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, having reportedly requested to temporarily depart the club he only joined last summer from Real Madrid.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Benzema remains exiled from the Al-Ittihad squad, reportedly training alone while his team-mates prepare for the resumption of the season after returning from holiday 17 days late.
