Man United agree Matheus Cunha deal as Ruben Amorim moves closer to sealing first summer transfer with Red Devils set to trigger Wolves star's £62.5m release clause

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha with the club set to trigger his £62.5million release clause.

A verbal agreement has been made with the forward joining on a five-year deal, with an option for a further year.

United have endured a miserable season, losing in the Europa League final to Tottenham, and won't compete in European football next season for just the second time in 35 years after finishing in 15th in the Premier League.

And Ruben Amorim is desperate to bolster his attacking options with Rasmus Hojlund misfiring, while Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford look set leave in the summer.
