Man United 1-3 Wrexham: League Two side overcome worrying injury to star striker Paul Mullin to beat youthful Red Devils, as Erik ten Hag's men endure difficult evening with captain Dan Gore shown a straight red card

Wrexham bounced back from a worrying injury to star striker Paul Mullin to see off a youthful Manchester United side 3-1 in San Diego.

Mullin was involved in a nasty clash with United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop inside the opening 10 minutes and after a prolonged period of treatment was forced off while wearing an oxygen mask.

There was plenty of concern for Mullin, but Wrexham responded well to the setback and took the lead just before the half hour mark through Elliot Lee.

They doubled their advantage shortly before half-time thanks to a close range header from defender Aaron Hayden after a long throw, but Marc Jurado gave United hope by pulling a goal back on the stroke of half-time.
