Mainoo plaque on display at Carrington

Kobbie was handed the prestigious award after a breakthrough campaign that saw him handed his first senior appearance for the Reds, and make his Premier League bow.

As is the tradition, the winner's picture is presented on the wall at the Jimmy Murphy Centre at our training ground, as was the case for Alejandro Garnacho last season after his 2021/22 success and for those that came before him.

Mainoo is the latest Red to join the list, with the likes of Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs also among the previous victors.

The 18-year-old was building his reputation, playing regularly for the first team during our pre-season campaign, before suffering an injury early on in United's Tour 2023 clash with Real Madrid in Houston.
