Lionel Messi attracts criticism if he doesn't score FIFTY goals a year, claims PSG team-mate Ander Herrera - who insists the Argentine is the best player of all time despite an underwhelming first season

Ander Herrera has insisted Lionel Messi is the best footballer in history - and said the Argentine would get criticised unless he scores 50 goals a season.

The veteran forward, 35, sensationally swapped Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but endured a difficult first season, only scoring six league goals.

But Herrera told Spanish outlet AS his goals total could have been much higher had he not hit the woodwork 10 times - and claimed there was no doubt in his mind about Messi's 'GOAT' status.
