Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has reportedly rejected offers from MLS club since leaving Manchester United because he wants to stay at the highest level before hanging up his boots.
Mata ended his eight-year stay at Old Trafford this summer to seek a new challenge, but he is yet to find a new club as new campaigns kick off across Europe.
The 34-year-old is said to be taking a 'patient' approach to his next chapter, accirding to Spanish outlet Marca, but has no intention to drop down a level.
Instead, the playmaker wants to keep challenging himself in a top league in Europe, the report claims, with Mata still retaining 'enthusiasm' for the game and a desire to be successful and add to his trophy collection.
