Jose Mourinho shouldn't publicly criticise his players, says Northampton striker ahead of EFL Cup clash

Northampton Town can turn Manchester United’s drama into a crisis in the EFL Cup tomorrow — and forward Marc Richards began the mind games by questioning Jose Mourinho’s decision to publicly criticise Luke Shaw.

United manager Mourinho highlighted United defender Shaw’s role in Watford’s second goal during the 3-1 defeat.

Richards said: ‘That’s maybe something I am not a fan of. He is the manager and he can do what he wants, but I think what happens at a football club, or what happens during a game, should maybe stay in the changing room.’
