Jose Mourinho keeping tabs on Manchester United duo Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof as Portuguese looks to bolster his defensive options at Roma and could be reunited with pair he signed while in charge at Old Trafford

Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to be reunited with Manchester United defenders Victor Lindelof and Diogo Dalot and could turn to his former club in the January transfer window.

The Portuguese is eager to bolster his defensive options at Roma, with a right-back and a centre-back top of his list of priorities.

According to Italian outlet Il Romanista, there are several right-backs on Roma's radar but there a number of factors that make Dalot an ideal candidate for Mourinho.

Diogo Dalot's first team opportunities have been few and far between this season.
Victor Lindelof has started in United's last seven games in all competitions.
The Portuguese manager signed both Dalot and Lindelof during his spell at Old Trafford

For a start, the former United boss knows his compatriot well and brought him to Old Trafford from Porto - another of his former clubs - in the summer of 2018.
