Scott McTominay has leaned on Jose Mourinho for advice over his international future as England and Scotland both vie for the Manchester United midfielder.
The 21-year-old was born in Lancaster but qualifies for Scotland through his father, who has spoken to performance director Malky Mackay about a potential call-up.
Mourinho lent McTominay an ear to talk over the potential dilemma earlier this month, with it understood the United academy graduate is on Gareth Southgate's radar.
'I've given him my advice but I think the advice of his parents is more important than mine,' Mourinho said.
