Jose Mourinho escapes automatic stadium ban by DAYS after referee comments ahead of Liverpool clash

Jose Mourinho is facing a possible touchline ban over comments about official Anthony Taylor - but has escaped an automatic stadium suspension by a matter of days.

The Football Association charged Manchester United’s manager on Thursday for alleged inflammatory remarks regarding Taylor before the draw at Liverpool last Monday.

Mourinho was slapped with a one-match stadium ban, suspended for one year, alongside a £50,000 fine this time last season. The FA felt it would act as a ‘reliable deterrent’.
