'It proves the people who make the rules don’t understand the game': Petr Cech criticises decision to allow Bruno Fernandes' equaliser for Manchester United against Manchester City to stand despite Marcus Rashford being offside

Petr Cech has claimed that the fact that Manchester United's opening goal against Manchester City was allowed to stand proves that football's lawmakers 'don't understand the game'.

United's equaliser in their 2-1 victory over City was hugely controversial, with Bruno Fernandes scoring despite Marcus Rashford being offside.

Rashford didn't actually touch the ball but he was heavily involved in the build-up to the goal as he shielded the ball following a pass from Casemiro.
