Paul Scholes has revealed that Inter Milan were the only club to have shown an interest in securing his services as the Manchester United legend insisted he was at the biggest club anyway.
Scholes is regarded as an Old Trafford icon having spent his whole career with the Premier League side, which culminated in the winning of 11 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues and four FA Cups.
Viewed as one of the top footballers of his generation, Scholes would have had his pick of a plethora of top clubs across Europe had Sir Alex Ferguson deemed the midfield maestro surplus to requirements.
