Holland boss Louis Van Gaal has revealed that he had a few awkward Facetime calls ahead of revealing his 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup.

The former Manchester United manager called all 11 players that he ended up snubbing as he named his final squad that would be jetting off to Qatar on Friday.

Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, Manchester United's Donny van de Beek, Newcastle defender Sven Botman and experienced goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen were among the notable absentees.
