Steven Gerrard has admitted that he has always been a fan of Manchester United legend Roy Keane and would have been keen to have played with him.
The former Liverpool captain believes that he and Keane would have formed a brilliant duo as the Irishman would have been able to offer protection to the defence while he played further forward.
Now the manager of Aston Villa, Gerrard, thinks that the 'consistency' that Keane, despite being rivals in their playing days, displayed during his 12 years at Old Trafford is something that his whole generation took note of.
