'He lacked tactics and intensity, but then he exploded': Bruno Fernandes' former Sampdoria team-mate Emiliano Viviano reveals how Manchester United star fulfilled his potential during his time in Italy

Bruno Fernandes has had a transformative effect on Manchester United since he joined the club in January.

But the brilliant Portuguese star didn't always have the 'intensity or tactical understanding' to make full use of his many talents.

That's according to his former team-mate at Sampdoria, the goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano, who said not everyone had faith Fernandes would realise his full potential.
