GETTING TO KNOW GROENEN In 2014, the midfielder moved to England to join Chelsea in the Women’s Super League. Groenen spent one season with the West London club before returning to the German league to sign for FFC Frankfurt, where she has played since 2015. The 24-year-old also represents her country and has amassed 46 appearances for the Netherlands, scoring two goals, since making her senior debut in January 2016.
Born in Tilburg on 17 December 1994, Jackie Groenen started her club career at Goirlese Sportvereniging Blauw-Wit (GSBW) in her native Netherlands, before going on to represent SG Essen-Schönebeck and FCR 2001 Duisburg in Germany's Frauen-Bundesliga.
