Jamie Carragher has given his backing to Manchester United's first major move of the summer, describing Matheus Cunha as a 'great signing' for the club.
The former Liverpool defender was speaking on Sky Sports following reports in Brazil claiming that United had agreed a £62.5million deal to sign the Wolves forward, who has scored 17 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions this season.
'I think it's a great signing. I think he's a brilliant player,' Carragher said. 'I love watching him play. We are going to pick our Team of the Season tonight, but he was in my team at the halfway point of the season.
