Gary Lineker has praised Manchester United after the club lit up Old Trafford to spell out 'NHS' in support of workers battling coronavirus.

The Match of the Day presenter posted a picture of the ground on his Instagram page with the caption: 'Nice touch.'

Former player Gary Neville also commended the club, saying 'well done' as he shared the photo on Twitter.

Old Trafford was lit up to spell out the letters 'N', 'H' and 'S' in support of the healthcare system

The letters 'n' and 'h' and 's' in the 'Manchester United' sign outside the ground were lit up while the others were darkened.

The rest of the outside was lit up in blue to match the colours of the healthcare system.
