Frenkie de Jong appears to have played down claims that he could be moving to Manchester United this summer, with the midfielder suggesting that his immediate future 'remains with Barcelona'.
The 26-year-old has been high up on his Erik ten Hag's shortlist of players for some time now, with Mail Sport reporting United had made a £70m bid for him last June and a deal was nearly 90 per cent complete.
Despite sending club representatives out to Spain, United were unable to formalise a deal, with De Jong admitting that he wanted to stay at the LaLiga outfit.
