Former Man United striker Edinson Cavani receives hero's welcome at Boca Juniors unveiling after agreeing to 18-month deal with the Argentine giants

Edinson Cavani has been unveiled to thousands of adoring Boca Juniors fans who were packed into La Bombonera on Monday.

The 36-year-old agreed to join the Argentine giants on an 18-month deal after finalising a contract termination with La Liga side Valencia last week.

Cavani, who enjoyed spells with the likes of Napoli, PSG and Manchester United, was presented in front of vast numbers of Boca supporters who clamoured to welcome their new number 10.

The forward addressed the characteristically fevered support, saying: 'This is a great emotion.
