Former Man United star Jesse Lingard scoops first major prize in South Korea - 18 months after making shock move

Former Manchester United player Jesse Lingard has won his first major award since making a shock switch to South Korean side FC Seoul 18 months ago.

Lingard, 32, made the surprise move having spent 11 years at Old Trafford after coming through the club's academy.

His most recent stint in England came with Nottingham Forest as he made 17 Premier League appearances in the 2022-23 season.

After being released, he returned to football by signing for FC Seoul in February 2024 in a transfer that was labelled as the most significant in the K-League's history.
