Fans heap praise on Andre Onana's 'good mentality' after the Man United goalkeeper passionately cheers on Cameroon from the touchline... despite being dropped for their huge AFCON win over Gambia

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been praised for his response to being dropped by Cameroon for their must-win Africa Cup of Nations group match against Gambia.

Onana has endured a difficult tournament with the goalkeeper missing his nation's opening game against Guinea after his private jet to Ivory Coast was forced to land a three-hour drive away from Yamoussoukro due to heavy fog.

He did start their second match - a 3-1 defeat to Group C leaders and defending champions Senegal - but was criticised for his performance.

Fabrice Ondoa was then recalled in goal for Cameroon's final group match against Gambia, with Onana dropping to the bench.
