Everton look to steal £30m Man United target as boss David Moyes admits to holding talks with the in-demand striker - but so have four other clubs

Everton have held talks with in-demand striker Liam Delap and made their case for the £30million Ipswich man to join them over fellow Premier League rivals.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle are also in pursuit of the 22-year-old who has scored 12 goals this season for the relegated Tractor Boys.

But boss David Moyes has made his case to Delap, who signed a door outside Goodison Park earlier this month, telling him why he should join them instead.

Moyes said: ‘He's spoken to three or four clubs and you know, he's given us the opportunity to pitch our case.
