Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford concedes penalty against Aston Villa after Andre Onana was let off scot-free by officials vs Wolves last week for a similar foul... as fans brand the 'inconsistency in the Premier League INSANE'

Jordan Pickford was the subject of some controversy during Everton's Sunday afternoon match against Aston Villa.

The Toffees got off to a dismal start at Villa Park, with John McGinn opening the scoring after 18 minutes, tapping in a well worked cross from Leon bailey after Villa opened up Everton's defence.

Villa threatened on several occasions in the opening exchanges and on the 24th minutes, with Ollie Watkins advancing towards the visitors goal to capitalize on a dangerous ball into the box.

Pickford rushed out to meet him as he tried to swipe the ball away from his the Villa forwards, but ultimately seemed to collide with the England striker, in a similar vein to Onana clattered into Sasa Kalajdzic during Man United's 1-0 win against Wolves last week.
