Erling Haaland breaks record held by Ruud van Nistelrooy and Mohamed Salah as he smashes in his 45th goal of the season in Man City's Champions League win over Bayern Munich... and he may yet grab one held by Cristiano Ronaldo

Unstoppable Erling Haaland has smashed another record after he scored in Manchester City's Champions League demolition of Bayern Munich.

The Norwegian netted his 45th goal of the season in Tuesday night's 3-0 win at the Etihad Stadium, a result that puts one foot in the semi-finals for Pep Guardiola's team.

Haaland's all-competition goals tally is now the most in a single season by a player at a Premier League club.

He surpassed the 44 goals scored by Manchester United's Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2002-03 and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah in 2017-18.
