Erik ten Hag claimed that he is ‘convinced’ and has a ‘strong belief’ that Manchester United will improve after his side fell to their 14th defeat in 28 games this season, against Nottingham Forest last night.
‘One thing is clear, we are not consistent. We can beat the best teams in the league but not the other teams,’ the United manager said. ‘We are showing against the top teams that we can go head-to-head. I am convinced and have a strong belief that we will improve,’ Ten Hag insisted.
United have lost nine of their 20 Premier League games this season - which is as many as they lost throughout last season and the Dutchman refused to take responsibility, insisting that injuries to blame.
