Erik ten Hag explains Luke Shaw was missing from Man United's 3-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest through ILLNESS and the Dutchman could be without one of his favoured defenders for the FA Cup tie against Reading this weekend

Luke Shaw was absent from Manchester United's 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest Wednesday night because of an illness, Erik ten Hag revealed after the match.

The defender, who's been in fine form since the World Cup, sparked injury concerns when he was left out of the matchday squad without explanation.

Ten Hag said after the match, however, that the player was sick rather than injured, with his status for this weekend's FA Cup tie versus Reading in limbo.

Luke Shaw could be sidelined for Manchester United's matchup against Reading on Saturday
