Eric Bailly agrees a one-year contract with Besiktas as the Manchester United defender FINALLY prepares to leave Old Trafford

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is closing in on a permanent move to Besiktas as Erik ten Hag prepares to finally get rid of the unwanted defender.

Bailly joined United in a £30m deal for LaLiga side Villarreal under Jose Mourinho seven-years ago, but has failed to convince Ten Hag he is worthy of a place within his squad.

The 29-year-old spent last season on-loan at French side Marseille before returning to United at the end of the season following the expiration of his loan spell.

However, Bailly is now set for a move to Turkey as talks between United, Besiktas and Bailly continue at an advanced stage.
