Ella Toone used to try and emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s tricks and skills in her back garden when he was first lighting up Old Trafford. Now Toone’s hero is back at United and she is one of the rising stars of the women’s team.
But despite their close proximity, Toone is yet to cross paths with her idol.
‘I haven’t seen him yet, I’m actually gutted,’ Toone tells Sportsmail. ‘We train at Carrington now and the men are there but you never really see them. Hopefully one day I manage to bump into him!
