David de Gea is in line to return to Old Trafford for the first time since his Manchester United departure after the club announced a pre-season friendly against Fiorentina.
Ruben Amorim’s side will face the Italians on Saturday, August 9 in the last of five pre-season games.
It will be the first time in 26 years that United have faced Fiorentina since the two clubs played in the group stage of the Champions League in the 1999-2000 season.
The fixture could also see De Gea return to Manchester for the first time his 2023 exit.
