David Beckham's Inter Miami avoids a US Open Cup shock exit after ex-Premier League player DeAndre Yedlin's woeful own goal - as it finds leveler with just minutes left and beats USL Championship side on penalties

Inter Miami's season almost went from bad to worse when DeAndre Yedlin put the ball past his own goalkeeper to give USL Championship Miami FC the lead in their US Open Cup clash with only a matter of minutes left in extra time.

The MLS side, co-owned by David Beckham, who returned to his former club PSG Thursday, and managed by former Manchester United and Everton man Phil Neville, have started the new league season dreadfully.

Inter Miami headed into Wednesday night's cup game off the back of six league losses.
